Lemrock ads send shoppers to two kinds of pages on your site: product pages and category pages. To build those ads, Lemrock needs two files from you:
  • A product feed: a file listing your products, published at a feed URL that Lemrock downloads.
  • A category file: a file listing the category pages you want to promote.
Lemrock writes the ad text and takes the images from these files. You don’t need to create any ad content.

File format

Both files use the same format:
  • CSV, comma-separated, with one header row followed by one row per product or page.
  • UTF-8 encoding, so accents display correctly.
  • Quotes around any value that contains a comma, a quote or a line break, with quotes inside a value doubled: "Canapé ""Oslo"", gris". Feed tools and spreadsheet exports do this automatically.
  • Field names in lowercase, exactly as written below. Column order doesn’t matter. Columns not listed below are ignored.
Tab-separated files (.tsv or .txt) are also accepted.

Tracking parameters

Tell your Lemrock contact which tracking parameters you want on your URLs, such as utm_source=lemrock. Lemrock adds them to every product and category URL it sends shoppers to, so you don’t need to change your files. Tracking parameters already in your URLs are kept. If one has the same name as a parameter Lemrock adds, Lemrock’s value replaces it.

Product feed

What to send

If your catalog is in Lengow or Channable, follow the Lengow or Channable guide. Send us one feed URL: a web address where your product file can be downloaded. Lemrock downloads it regularly, so you don’t need to send updates.
  • Keep the feed URL the same over time, and keep the file behind it up to date with your catalog. Feed management tools provide a URL like this.
  • The feed URL must use HTTPS. If it is protected, use a secret token in the URL or HTTP basic authentication, and send us the credentials.
  • Include the products you want to promote. You can send your whole online catalog or a selection. Lemrock chooses among them which products to show in each conversation.

Fields

The product feed follows the Google Merchant Center product data specification. Template: product-feed-template.csv. Required. Every row must have a value in each of these fields. Recommended. These improve the ads and the reporting.

Rules

  • One row per variant. Each variant a shopper can buy separately, such as a colour or a size, gets its own row with its own id, price, availability, image_link and link. Rows of the same product share one item_group_id.
  • Use the same id as your conversion tracking. The product IDs your pixel sends must match the id in the feed, so sales can be linked to products.
  • Leave unknown values empty. Don’t write placeholder text such as N/A, null or unknown.

Category file

What to send

Send us one category file listing the category pages to promote. Include any page that lists products: a main category, a sub-category or a filtered view (for example, sofas filtered by colour). When you add, rename or remove categories on your site, send an updated file. Template: category-urls-template.csv. An Excel file with the same columns is also accepted.

Fields

Required. Every row must have a value in each of these fields. Optional.
